Dee and Jon got married

So last night my awesome friends Destiny and Jonathan got married in this beautiful outdoor wedding. The ceremony itself was very beautiful, and then the reception took place in a very nice garden setting. It really brought joy to my heart to see how the Lord's hand brought these two amazing poeple together and that I was able to be part of this wonderful event. Now I still have another week here in Texas and that's so cool! Lots of love to everyone at home...carina& mathias my homies and everyone at Fila...you guys rock and i love u all very much..
Somehow every time I'm around the Benjamin (Destiny's family) family , or other families, I see more of what love really is, what caring is, what hospitality is. It is a pleasure to be around the people here. Learning about true friendship and community.
Peace to yall!

Wedding bells are ringing..

Howdy from Texas! So it's been an awesome couple of days since i last posted anything. I have been doing some fun stuff and meeting old friends and newer friends and it's been great. Tomorrow my dear friends Destiny and Jon are getting married and I am so excited, it's gonna be so amazing! Othet than that I've been to six flags (amusement park), shopping, hanging out, swimming etc and church of course. So it's been a really good time and hopefully the week I have left here will be great too. Love you all back there in Finland and keep pursuing the Lord with all that you have. He is mighty and faithful and will have His will done in our lives if we give it all to Him. See y'all later! :)

Who needs a Key anyway??

Did u ever have one of those "not-so-good-day-when-you-just-wanna-get-home-and-sleep" days?? Well the other night I was having a night like that. Nothing much was wrong, I just didn't have the best day that's all. But the day was soon to be over and my bed was calling...or was it?? hahah

We were leaving Fila with Carina and Mathias and I was going to drive them home. We were kind of hungry though, so we decided to drop by MacDonald's and have ourselves a nice evening snack. These things usually go pretty smoothly without major complications, right? And so far everything was pretty jolly, as we arrived at the parking lot.  We got out of the car, and just as I had closed the door I got that weird "I-know-I-have-forgotten-something" feeling. I immediately thougth...THE KEYS!? I looked through my bag and found that my car keys weren't there...DINGDING!! My mood suddenly changed from not too happy to so annoyed I could throw something at my car! haha!

I looked into my car and there it was.....YEP...we were officially locked out. NO worries though, there was a nearby police station..YAY! We sent M off to ask the police if the could maybe help us out...we waited for a while...got some ice cream and burgers...and waited some more...M came back and then..the blue and white police car and 3 policemen came to our rescue, or so we though!!!

They had like atleast 390044 different keys and tried to open the car for about 15 minutes, No LUCK! The locks in my 15 year old car were too good. Way to go Toyota for making such awesome cars. Now it was time for plan B! Call Mom...haha! Isn't it amazing with such awesome Mom's??

The lesson of the night: I didn't think there really was one, I was just annoyed and feeling stupid. Carina made it clear thougth that things like these build character, and test our character. I think I might have failed this one, but Praise God for friends like M and C who teach me what life is about in every circumstance. These people who love you regardless of your bad days! Besides I have one more funny car memory! And I have a feeling it's not gonna be the last one with this silly little Toyota of mine;)

BBQ with the now legendary "Tha Green"

OHHHHH sweetness of BBQ parties! We were all invited to Hanna's place for a nice BBQ party the other night! Even though I came when most of the food had been eaten already, the place was still full of lovely people and music! I even got to taste some of Edith's amazing applemuffins!

But there was something more to this evening than food, friends and laughter. To all of our amazement we had a quest who was just waiting to become the next star! Maybe not the next Hollywood star, but atleast the new Bollywood star of the year! Will she be one of those stars who sing one hit that everyone knows, and a month later no one even remembers who sang that so song?? Or does she have that little something extra about her?? I guess we will see, but this evening she was the STAR! Meet "Tha Green" !

This about 1,37 meter long green beauty, with a soft and air filled character and that silky skin u have always wanted, became a legend over night! She was fun to play with and really got all of us laughing. After some dramatic accidents where she "fell" into the rose bushes... not only once, but multiple times, she became very weak. After trying to give her CPR we couldn't get her to be herself anymore. She is still alive, but suffering from severe damage. We are hoping she should recover till we all meet again next wednesday. I am believing she will be back on her foot she only has one) and kickin'! Whatever happens she captured our hearts that evening and will always be our STAR! Hang in there "Tha Green"!
